Back to Being Me - Plan Your Week
Our project is relatively simple in its design. We have created a space where activities designed to improve both physical and mental well-being take place under one roof. The activities include physical exercise, meditative sessions, skills for life and healthy living classes which include Guided Meditation, Singing Group, Tai Chi, Creative Writing Group, Pilates and Art Group.
We know that there’s a strong link between physical health and mental health; by helping to improve our physical health we feel better about ourselves which provides us with a greater sense of self-worth but there are also biological reasons; It increases heart rate, which pumps more oxygen to the brain. It also aids the bodily release of a plethora of hormones, all of which participate in aiding and providing a nourishing environment for the growth of brain cells. Exercise is also one of the most effective ways to improve your mental health. Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. It also relieves stress, improves memory, helps you sleep better, and boosts overall mood.
